CROW HILL GP RACE REPORT: rOUND 6

Mother nature turned up the heat!

Baldwinville, Massachusetts (June 22, 2025)- J Day Off-Road hosted round six of the AMA East Regional Championship, sponsored by Fox Racing, the Crow Hill GP 1, at Crow Hill MX Park in Baldwinville, Massachusetts, on June 22. After last weekend’s rain and mud, riders faced scorching heat and a dry, sandy track. Saturday we hosted round one and two of the Stacyc races, along with Round 2 of the Rad Moto E-Bike race and the BBR Pit Bike race. Sunday was a great turnout and personally one of my favorite tracks to photograph!

Kayla ONeill goes 1-1 in the Womens Pro class

WOMEN'S PRO/ AM - Destiny Artegian (Kawi) started the Women’s Pro moto off with the Fox Racing holeshot, leading 9 women out onto the track. Focus X racer Kayla Oneill (Yamaha) made the pass on Artegian on lap one to carry out the rest of moto one in the lead and to win moto one.

In moto two Oneill was out front once again leading the women’s pro class. By lap two Oneill had put a lead of over 1 minute and thirty second on second place, evidently finishing moto two in first and secured the womens overall. Kayla Oneill goes into round 7 with her 1-1 scores, keeping her winning streak alive with 134 points total.

The women’s amateur class hosted 7 women who battled it out in the dire heat. A&E Racing backed rider Kendyl Geatani (KTM) has gone undefeated this year with 6 overall wins. She wins Crowhill giving her 30 points on second place going into round 7. Points standings show Plaistow Powersports Yamaha rider Mariah Hopkins finished 2nd with 120 points and Ava Salley (KTM)rounded out the podium in 3rd with 91 points.

Supermini Moto Overall Podium: Dj Leblanc (1st-Supermini) Destry Tucker (1st- Mini JR) Caleb Kaminski (2nd-Supermini)

FEATURED CLASS SUPERMINI: In moto one Dj Leblanc (KTM) found himself outfront grabbing the Fox Racing holeshot. Gas Gas rider Caleb Kaminski pushed himself to keep a close eye on Leblanc. Christopher Artegian running 3rd moto 1 keep a good pace and held off fourth place by 20 seconds on the last lap. Leblanc won moto 1 with a lead on Kaminski of 37 seconds.

In Moto 2, Leblanc took charge again for the lead. Kaminski was 1 second behind Leblanc on lap one and by lap 2 Leblanc made a gap of 11 seconds. Christopher Artegian sat in a comfortable third place position while Carson Cayer (KTM) and Karson Houser (HUS) battle for the 4th place position.

With DJ Leblanc having 1-1 scores and the Supermini Overall he sits first in points with 125 points; 20 points ahead of Carson Cayer. Caleb Kaminski finished second overall on the day while Christopher Artegian rounds out the 3rd spot Carson Cayer in 4th and Karson Houser in 5th.

Beta Rider, Brayden Nolette grabbing the Pro AA Moto 1 Holeshot

MOTO TASSINARI PRO 125 CLASS - Moto Tassinari sponored Pro 125 race hosts some of the fastest offroad racers in New England. AM Pro Yamaha rider Brandon Gregoire sets the tone of moto 1 grabbing the Fox racing holeshot. Plaistow Powersports rider Justin Cokinos narrows in on Gregoire after finshing lap one 10 seconds behind in 2nd. As lap 5 came to a finish, Cokinos was only 1 second behind Gregoire. Justin was able to make the pass on Gregoire on lap six creating a 23 second lead at the finish line winning moto 1.

As 1st and 2nd battled for the win, Taylor Beckwith (YAM) kept his pace for 3rd while Beta rider Brayden Nolette worked his way from 9th to 4th by the last lap. 5th place finisher Plaistow Powersports rider Kyle Hangos battled his way from 6th to 4th to 5th to round out top 5 moto 1.

As moto 2 got underway, Gregoire once again finds himself out front to sweep the Pro 125 class taking a first overall with his 2-1 scores. Justin Cokinos sits on the 2nd step as he rode in 2nd place while also battling Nolette who finished 3rd on the day.

Kyle Hangos battled his way through the pack leaving with a 5th place overall with 5-4 scores. Taylor Beckwith began the moto in 3rd while fading back through the pack to 5th. Jeremy Wahlstrom finished 6th while passing Anthony Federico who finished 7th.

On the podium featured two Yamahas and one Beta ride. Brandon Gregoire sat 1st with 2-1 scores, leading the points standings with 142 points. Justin Cokinos finished 2nd overall with 1-2 scores and only 6 points behind in the chamionship. Brayden Nolette rounded out the podium with 4-3 scores , sitting third in the championship. Pro 125 & Pro AA Overall winner Brandon Gregoire ; AM Pro Racing Yamaha Rider

PRO AA- In moto one, Beta rider Brayden Nolette set himself up with a great start by grabbing the Fox Racing holeshot. However, AmPro Yamaha’s

Gregoire, the defending Pro AA and Pro 125 Champion, pushed to the front of the pack only a few corners into the race.

Plaistow Powersports team rider Justin Cokinos quickly moved into second place and stayed within four seconds of the leader for several laps. Cokinos waited until the fifth lap before making his move and a pass on the leader. He then held off Gregoire for the win.

Beta’s Brayden Nolette rode steady in third, pulling time on fourth-place Taylor Beckwith. Alex Phaneuf battled from eighth to finish fifth in the 89-degree heat.

Pro AA Podium: Brandon Gregoire (1st) Justin Cokinos (2nd) Brayden Nolette (3rd)

Moto two started with Gregoire out front and quickly building a 12-second lead by lap two. He took the win with a comfortable margin of one minute and 17 seconds ahead of Cokinos.

Despite the heat, Cokinos opened a 17-second gap on Nolette by the end of lap one and held on to keep the position.

Nolette finished third after passing Jake Abbott early in the moto. Anthony Federico Jr moved up from seventh to fifth, getting by Yamaha’s Kyle Geatani, who placed sixth in the moto.

On the podium, Gregoire’s 2-1 scores earned him the overall win. Justin Cokinos (1-2 scores) and Brayden Nolette (3-3 scores) rounded out the podium.
