RICHARDSON’S FARM GP RACE REPORT: THORN DEVLIN BATTLES FROM BEHIND TO CLINCH THE PRO OVERALL

J Day Offroad AMA Regional Championship

Burrillville, Rhode Island (September 28, 2025)- The 11th round of the 13-race J Day Offroad / East Grand Regional AMA Championship wrapped up at Richardson’s Farm in Burrillville, RI, sponsored by NU-Look Asphalt. The course delivered a wild mix of bar-deep mud holes and a dry, fast cornfield, thanks to heavy rain the week prior. Despite a few mishaps, Thorn Devlin came out on top in the Pro AA class, shaking up the points standings.

WOMEN'S PRO - Addison Harris (KTM) led every lap in both motos to secure the Women’s Pro Overall. Kayla O’Neill (Yamaha) kept her in sight throughout and finished second on the day, extending her lead in the standings by 44 points. Destiny Artegian (Kawasaki) rounded out the podium in third.

Amateur Overall- J Day Off road’s top amateur of the day, was once again, Matt Webb aboard his Yamaha YZ 250, taking first in A250 and 11th Overall. Joshua Kanakry (KTM) took the A200 class win finishing 28th overall while A Open winner Patrick Gougeon (GAS) finished 16th overall.

Pro 125 - As the Moto Tassinari-sponsored Pro 125 race commenced, AM Pro Racing's Brandon Gregoire swiftly took the lead. He maintained his position throughout the entirety of the first moto, keeping Betas' Brayden Nolette at bay. Meanwhile, Justin Cokinos from Plaistow Powersports executed a successful pass on Nolette during the fifth lap, securing the second spot.

Kyle Hangos, also representing Plaistow Powersports, advanced from sixth to fourth place in moto 1, successfully battling against Taylor Beckwith and Kyle Rougeau. The three riders frequently exchanged positions during the race, resulting in some thrillingly close finishes.

In Moto 2, Gregoire once again seized the lead right from the outset, demonstrating dominance as he led the entire race and ultimately claimed victory in the Pro 125 class. Brayden Nolette maintained a steady pace, gradually closing in on the second-place contender. Justin Cokinos occupied third place as Taylor Beckwith and Kyle Hangos competed fiercely for fourth and fifth positions.

On the podium, Brandon Gregoire claimed the top spot in first, followed by Brayden Nolette in second and Justin Cokinos in third.

PRO AA- In Moto 1, Justin Cokinos (Plaistow Powersports) grabbed the Fox Racing holeshot and led through the sandy cornfield. He held the lead for lap one until Cooper Jones (KTM) and Brandon Gregoire (Yamaha) moved into the top two spots. Jones stayed out front to take the win, while Gregoire dropped back after dislocating his knee mid-race.

Devlin started Moto 1 in sixth but crashed early in the cornfield, falling to last. He fought back to sixth by the end of lap one and ultimately finished second. Jiggs Fustini (KTM) climbed from fifth to third, making moves past Cokinos (5th) and Beta’s Brayden Nolette (4th).

In Moto 2, Gregoire bounced back strong, leading the first two laps. Devlin turned up the pace, passing Gregoire to take the win. Gregoire held second, while Fustini and Cokinos battled for third—Fustini eventually pulled away with a 27-second gap. Nolette started seventh and worked up to fifth, overtaking Jake Abbott (Yamaha, 6th) and Taylor Beckwith (Yamaha, 7th).

On the overall podium, Devlin claimed the top step, followed by Fustini in second and points leader Cokinos in third.

Two rounds remaining and the points are close, Justin Cokinos currently sits in 1st with 236 points, 5 points ahead of Brandon Gregoire with 231 points, and Nolette in 3rd with 208 points.
